In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support Visas. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Qualifications for Employment

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; five years of experience in analysis, maintaining financial accounts and records, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, strong interpersonal communication, and strong organizational skills required. Master's degree, experience with Ellucian Banner and not-for-profit fund accounting, and experience in a higher education environment is preferred.

Nature and Scope of Duties:

The Fiscal Analyst reports to the Associate Comptroller or Comptroller and performs the following duties:

* Prepares, reviews and analyzes statistical and financial reports for internal (College) or external (Federal, State, etc.) distribution/submission.
* Completes an analysis of accounts within the General Ledger in accordance with best practices and documented procedures and schedules.
* Completes the annual Cost of Curriculum Study Report.
* Responsible for plant fund accounting.
* Assist with preparation of data for the Actuary.
* Prepares automated or manual recurring fiscal reports in accordance with GAAP
* Maintains ledger accounts and analyzes fiscal data;
* Assists with fiscal year-end closing of financial records.
* Assists with accounting for the Educational Opportunity Center.
* Performs other duties assigned.

This is a full-time 12-month, Management Confidential position with a salary range of $50,000.00 to $55,000.00.
