Accounting Manager Apply Online The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager role will have a well-rounded accounting background and have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. This position will be responsible for close functions including financial statement analysis, third party accounting/reporting, internal and external audit compliance, and quarterly reporting. The Accounting Manager will be a valuable partner in building close business relationships with divisional and operational team members to ensure accurate financial statements, enhancing, and establishing robust close processes. As a part of Tyler's corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector. Location Plano, Texas Travel 0-5% Responsibilities Manage month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, workpaper preparation and analysis, third party accounting / reporting, etc. Manage monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting. Manage financial analysis and internal and external audit compliance. Manage quarterly and annual external reporting package for auditors. Create and maintain SOX related narratives and risk matrices for areas of responsibility. Serve as liaison with internal and external audit. Identify process and system improvements to increase close efficiency. Maintain up-to-date documentation for roles and related systems, ERP, PSA, etc. Coordinate with other departments to communicate financial results. Partner with Divisional planners to ensure visibility into accounting systems for forecasting/budgeting purposes. Understand business goals, objectives, and trends to translate results into accurate analysis. Develop, analyze, and drive business process change across Tyler's multi-divisional operating base to gain efficiencies. Perform ad hoc tasks as required. Qualifications: Accounting degree required; Masters preferred CPA required Minimum 5-8 years of GAAP accounting experience required with 3+ years of management and leadership experience Knowledge of GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes Oxley compliance Public accounting experience and publicly listed company experience preferred Experience with large entity ERP and close management tools Systems integration (ERP) experience preferred Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skill Taking Care of You & Your Family Your health and well-being are important to us.
