Job Summary:

Ensure the coordination and optimization of strategic partnerships to enhance organizational visibility and impact. Position the organization effectively with key partners, including major stakeholders, NGOs, associations, community groups, and private sector entities. Lead and coordinate outreach efforts to build and maintain strong external relationships. Provide support, development, and leadership guidance to volunteers, fostering engagement and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with management to oversee the organization-wide coordination of proactive strategic partnership identification, prioritization, and outreach.
  • Provide leadership with complex analyses and research that present an overview of the external environment and an understanding of the roles of potential partner organizations.
  • Develop and implement streamlined, flexible processes to manage complex partnership agreements for use by the full organization.
  • Ensure that strategic partnerships are maximized to support relevant lines of service and levels of the organization.
  • Explore and build relationships with diverse organizations, including allied organizations, customers, constituencies, and communities.

Pay Information:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $95,000.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned with the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in Government, Public Policy, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in national accounts, partnership management, sales, or fundraising.
  • Proven skills in: Presentations and public speaking; Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Project management and event planning; Negotiation, networking, and relationship building; and Problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings to meet with sponsors.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time; team meetings occur 1-2 times per year.
  • Must be able to work within the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Depending on the work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, or the ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. This may include sitting for long periods, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

Work Conditions: Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the chapter jurisdiction, the state, and the Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on a 24-hour call during periods of major disaster.
