COMPENSATION

Pay or shift range: $78,000- $104,000 USD annually. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Manager, Day of Travel is responsible for the strategy and execution to improve Sun Country's digital experience at a pivotal point in the traveler journey - the day of travel. The Product Manager will manage highly complex technical products to improve the traveler experience and optimize internal processes across digital platforms, customer service, and operations. The Product Manager will work closely with key stakeholders on the development of the roadmap, provide vision and direction, outline business requirements, and lead the execution of projects. The Product Manager will be the subject matter expert for the domains in their area and provide guidance on traveler needs, business strategy, and competitor experiences.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Focus on enhancing the traveler experience by understanding their needs and developing product strategies, roadmaps, and product requirements align with company goals.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights from both travelers and internal operations.
  • Collaborate closely with customer service and operations leadership to scope, prioritize, plan, and manage the development of new technologies that improve traveler experience and internal effectiveness.
  • Identify areas for improvement and establish efficient processes, review existing vendors and research potential new vendors.
  • Partner with development team to deliver the product roadmap.
  • Present options and recommendations clearly and persuasively to gain alignment from business stakeholders.
  • Communicate the progress of the product roadmap effectively.
  • Document business scenarios, traveler journeys, and expected outcomes, mapping them to the necessary capabilities from technology vendors and solutions.
  • Make prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing traveler experience, stakeholder needs, launch complexity and timeline, development effort, and business value.
  • Create product launch plans and provide training and support for internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 3+ years of relevant Product Management experience
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in strategy creation, customer focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite


PREFFERRED SKILLS



  • Strong technical background and judgment to evaluate solutions, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, make trade-offs, and help balance the business needs versus technical constraints
  • Skilled at establishing relationships with team members across the company, developing empathy and trust and influencing without authority
  • Experienced at defining product strategies and crafting technical products from inception to launch
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience translating unstructured or ambiguous work requests into detailed requirements/use cases and communicating them effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
