The Designer/Drafter II will be responsible for content creation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) files for drains products used in MEP system modeling (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing). Associate will follow established technical specifications to prepare solid models and other technical documentation used by architectural designers. This position will work closely with Engineering and Marketing to develop new models and maintain existing systems using Autodesk Revit. The drafter will also work with the engineering team to process change notices to manage other manufacturing models and drawings.

Key Accountabilities

*Responsible for performing computer-aided design using Autodesk Revit to create and maintain content used for Building Information Models (BIM) available to external customers.

*Assist Engineering and Marketing by providing input and feedback on new or existing models to improve performance and efficiency of use in MEP architectural models.

*Address external feedback to improve existing modeled systems and create custom configurations per custom requirements as required.

*Maintain organization and standard of controlled documents and ensure and serve as the gatekeeper for controlling sensitive product documentation.

*Responsible for performing computer-aided design using AutoCAD & Inventor to support engineering teams which includes the creation of 3D solid models detail drawings, and system layout drawings as requested by Engineering.

*Responsible for performing corrections, revisions, and changes to parts, models, assemblies, and layouts as required.

*Review job details and blueprints, and submit project information into work funnel for further processing.

*Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data; conferring with engineers.

*Actively participate in continuous improvement projects under supervision to drive process efficiency gains.

Qualifications/Requirements

*Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting & Design, equivalent technical degree, or equivalent work experience.

*Proficient in Revit MEP Version 2012 or newer.

*Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault or equivalent.

*Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards preferred.

*Additional Computer skills desired include familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe PageMaker, and Adobe InDesign.

*Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

*Must have the ability to read and interpret complex detail drawings and architectural/structural blueprints.
