JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Director Department Grants Administration will report to the Department Administrator in a large, academic department with both clinical and research grants activities across multiple divisions. This position will oversee research funding efforts within the department and will partner with and assist investigators. The Assistant Director is a highly analytical position that demands the ability to adapt and manage multiple projects. This position is highly visible and requires daily communication with leadership (Chair/Chiefs/Administrators, etc.). The Assistant Director will actively manage improvement objectives and will support the execution of research goals by assuring the development, implementation, data, and performance measurement. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
Master's Degree in business, finance, or related field
8 years of experience working with faculty in an academic or research setting, including a track record of effective communication as well as familiarity with extramural grants and/or contracts. and Previous supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of stated degree on a year-for-year basis. JOB DUTIES
