Description

As Project Pilot at ASEC, you will play a critical role in supporting flight operations across a variety of aviation-focused contracts. You will operate ASEC-owned and leased aircraft as both Pilot-In-Command (PIC) and Second-In-Command (SIC), executing missions that primarily support flight detachments and test operations within CONUS. This position requires a highly skilled aviator with a strong background in flight test, operational flying, and team collaboration.

In this role, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and safe execution of flight operations in support of test and evaluation, training, or mission readiness tasks. You'll also support pre-flight and post-flight activities, contribute to mission planning, and ensure compliance with FAA, military, and company standards.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline related to flight test.
  • Minimum of 700 flight hours in military and/or civilian aircraft.
  • At least 3 years of flight experience.
  • FAA certifications: Commercial Pilot, AMEL, CFI, CFII.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Adobe products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of flight test experience.
  • Graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) or other recognized test pilot program.

  • You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • You possess professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
  • You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Your organizational skills allow you to manage competing priorities.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to pass an FAA Class II flight physical. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The ability to maintain physical standards for flight status is required.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $78.00 - $83.00/hour, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
