Own design, planning, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery on the Salesforce platform for business needs throughout the enterprise. Staff Salesforce Developer is responsible for all technical aspects of large, complex projects. Staff Salesforce Developer may lead or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary.

Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce.com platform

Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with client's business objectives

Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce.com implementation

Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Salesforce.com platform

Manage technical scopes and client expectations

Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to Salesforce developers

Demonstrate technical thought leadership

Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used

Be a credible subject matter expert to clients and partners on sales cycles and marketing events

Work in the Salesforce.com development environment, which includes custom objects, workflows, validation rules, triggers, the Force.com IDE, SOSL, SOQL, and web services

Apply best practices and design patterns on the Force.com platform

Administer, customize, and configure Salesforce features including but not limited to Security, Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Users, Page Layouts, Record Types, Workflows, Reports and Dashboards, Approvals, Object Relationships, Fields, Validation rules, Custom apps, etc.

Use Force.com Dataloader, DemandTools, or equivalent data management tools to audit, identify, and resolve data integrity issues

Provide detailed estimates

Coach and mentor junior technical resources; own responsibility for ongoing technical development of technical resources on Salesforce projects

Interview potential candidates as needed and as time permits

Drive profound change and provide leadership

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in related field; or related experience

Minimum 8 years of IT development experience; 6 years of Salesforce development experience

Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systems

Expert understanding of the Salesforce.com product suite, including Salesforce 1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Platform, and the App Exchange

Experience in developing Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages, and Force.com API integration

Proficient with declarative development tools such as workflow rules and field updates, approval processes, escalation and assignment rules, process builder, and visual flow

Experience with Salesforce.com SOAP and REST APIs, Bulk API, and Metadata API

Strong awareness of programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex and VisualForce

Understanding of the Salesforce.com data loader for data migration activities in Salesforce.com

Strong background in design and development of enterprise systems as part of a complete software product lifecycle

Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum

Deep functional and technical understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and other Cloud Computing Services is a must

Knowledge of integration architecture as well as third-party integration tools and ETL (Such as Informatica, Jitterbit etc. ) with Salesforce.com

Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce core technologies
  • Expert knowledge of Mulesoft and API integration
  • Experience working with Agentforce and Datacloud
  • Experience working with Enterprise Architecture teams on design principles

Nice to have skills:

  • AWS Bedrock, S3 buckets, etc.
  • Java Development
  • Working with and delivering solutions to stakeholders

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions. For more information regarding VSP Vision benefits, pleaseclick here.

Salary Ranges: $120,750.00 - $190,050.00
