THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated e-Discovery Investigator to join a dedicated team supporting the Corporate Security Investigation (CSI) organization, reporting to the Director of Global Security Investigations. This e-Discovery Investigator will be responsible for digital data collection, processing, review, and analysis. Other responsibilities may also include tasks like data media duplication, imaging, DLP (Data Lost Prevention) escalation and spreadsheet manipulation, as well as assisting with the chain of custody This role will require direct interactions with employees at all levels, AMD's Legal team, a team of highly collaborative investigators and other internal stakeholders.

THE PERSON:

They show great attention to detail, have an inquisitive nature, understand the importance of following accepted industry practices but also recognize opportunities to engage leadership on uncommon challenges. They have experience in e-Discovery tools, software and some knowledge of digital forensics. Along with being inquisitive about emerging technologies and how they might be incorporated into the overall program. They are excellent communicators, written and verbal. They are passionate about driving solutions and collaborating with others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct e-Discovery searches and analyzation involving allegations concerning AMD's Worldwide Standard of Business Conduct and other policies.
  • Identifying, collecting, and preserving relevant electronic data (emails, documents, databases, etc.) from various sources, ensuring data integrity and chain of custody.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Developing and executing complex searches to locate specific information within large datasets.
  • Prepare detailed reports, documenting findings, processes, and evidence, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to the CSI group, legal teams and other stakeholders regarding eDiscovery tools and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate findings clearly
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and relevant legislation related to digital forensics.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Purview and other e-Discovery tools with some knowledge of forensic tools such as Magnet, EnCase, FTK, OpenText, or similar software.
  • Familiarity of file systems, operating systems, network protocols, and data recovery techniques.
  • Familiarity with legal and privacy considerations related to digital evidence collection, preservation, and admissibility.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or equivalents are preferred.
