Job Description

Job Title: Sales Development Senior Manager - Marine & Electrification

Location: Remote (US), travel up to 70%

Department: Danfoss Drives

Danfoss Drives is seeking an experienced, strategic Sales Development Manager to drive growth in the Marine and Electrification verticals across North America. This leadership role will guide the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, build and coach a high-performing sales team, and strengthen Danfoss' market position with key customers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines technical insight, industry expertise, and strong leadership capabilities to accelerate Danfoss' impact in the green transformation.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy



  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales teams focused on Marine and Electrification verticals (including H & Power-to-X, Energy Storage Systems, and Ultra High Power Charging).
  • Build the North American vertical strategy in alignment with the Division's global strategy, ensuring regional execution and business impact.
  • Focus on people and talent development, including succession planning, upskilling, and competency development across the sales organization.


Marine Vertical



  • Strengthen Danfoss' position with marine OEMs, system integrators, shipyards, and leading ship owners.
  • Champion value propositions around energy efficiency, hybrid-electric propulsion, shore power, and lifecycle optimization.


Electrification Vertical



  • Develop strategic relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and project developers in the electrification ecosystem, including industrial power conversion, charging infrastructure, and PtX initiatives.
  • Identify and shape opportunities in clean energy transitions, including battery storage and hydrogen.


Commercial & Technical Enablement



  • Provide strategic sales support and coaching to ensure the team can articulate and deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, application engineering, and marketing to tailor offers to customer needs.
  • Monitor market dynamics, customer trends, and regulatory drivers to adapt Danfoss' approach and maximize relevance.


Customer Engagement & Visibility



  • Act as a senior representative of Danfoss in industry events, trade shows, and customer forums to enhance visibility and influence.
  • Support key account planning and execution with regional sales leads and key account managers.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or leadership roles in the marine, electrification, or related industries.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and guiding successful sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of drives, electrification systems, energy storage, and marine propulsion technologies.
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the region and globally as required.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000- $155,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
