Qualifications:


  • Current State of California certified CLS/MLS or national certification equivalent (ASCP or AMT)
  • At least 2-3 years of Hematology experience, specifically in blood and Body Fluid cell identification microscopically.
  • Passed the Hematology qualification competency (blood cell ID) with at least 80%.
  • Flexibility hours, including weekends or after hours.
  • Review blood film slides 2-3 yrs exp in clinical lab, exp in haematology. Certified licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist, able to identify blood films.
  • For the first few weeks of the onboarding process might work more hours.
  • Once all the trainings are completed, the working hours is dependent to the project being supported.
  • The time varies each week.
  • We normally notify our slide readers at least a week before the project starts, and occasionally 24 hours before when there are some urgent projects.



Description:


  • BS/MS in Medical Technology (ASCP) certified.
  • 5+ years of comprehensive and continuing experience in following standard diagnostic procedures.
  • Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluid, to determine presence of normal and abnormal components.
  • Studies blood cells, their numbers, and morphology.
  • Performs blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes.
  • Analyzes test results and enters findings into the computer.
  • Performs quality control studies to ensure the accuracy of clinical data. Engages in medical research under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure. Verifies instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documenting data.
  • Records on instrument logs any repairs, replacements, and maintenance needed for equipment.
  • Trains and supervises students
