Job Description

Pay range is $26.20-$41.00 per hour DOEwith Attendance Premium of $0.25 and Shift Premiums of $1.50 and $1.00 for hours worked during 2nd and night shifts. Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain, repair, operate, and troubleshoot all plant refrigeration (Ammonia chilled water systems, product storage room temperatures, ice maker and delivery systems) and HVAC systems.
  • To ensure that all systems receive preventative maintenance as required.
  • To ensure equipment and plant reliability. Will maintain plant as required.
  • To ensure that good housekeeping is maintained. Will assist other plant personnel is various areas of the plant as needed.
  • Will perform all jobs and tasks in a safe and productive manner.

PERCENT/TIME:

90% - Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on all refrigeration, (E.G., ammonia chilled water systems, product storage room temperatures, ice maker and delivery systems) and HVAC systems, to include observing and making necessary adjustments and/or repairs and emergency repairs.

10%- additional functions include:

  • Making appropriate log entries
  • Assisting in other areas of the plant as required
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, sanitation, and disease control requirements while performing job duties.
  • Assist with ordering materials and supplies.
Qualifications
  • Must be willing to take the necessaryschooling and training that willgive the selected employee the ability to perform items 2 & 3 of thelist below
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and make "On-the-spot" corrections inemergency situations.
  • Must have basic electrical knowledge and/or training.
  • Must be self-motivatedand able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.In a wet, cool and sometimes unpleasant environmentwithminimal supervision.
  • Must have good Englishcommunication skills (I.E.,reading, writing and verbal),& good math skills.
  • Must have demonstrated history of dependability, particularly withregard to safety and attendance.
  • Must be able to lift containers weighing up to up 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work on roof tops, from ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be willing and able to work various shifts, overtime and non-standardwork week.
  • Must have own tools.
  • A Refrigeration / Mechanical test may be administered and utilized to determine skill level.
  • Must follow all federal, state and company regulations for the handlingof hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
