Position Description: Provide precision and innovation to design and develop components and details for offsite manufacturing solutions and manufactured products, using advanced MCAD programs. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Design product details applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DMFA) principles.
- Design and develop detailed 3D models and drawings for offsite manufactured solutions and architectural manufactured products.
- Develop into product subject matter expert for xPL Product Development team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and consultants to develop product design details.
- Collaborate with engineering consultants to review product design compliance with applicable codes and confirm achievement of contractual document specifications.
- Participate in prototype testing, conduct quality reviews, and contribute solutions for product design enhancements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and delegated design engineering teams to ensure manufacturing of products do not compromise product design integrity.
- Assist Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) and Preconstruction teams to apply product to support project applications and to identify new products to be developed.
- Develop and apply scripting and programming skills to automate routine product design tasks.
- Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree from accredited degree program in Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineering, or related field or trade experience, with minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or construction, or a related role or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Experience in prefabrication, manufacturing, commercial construction industry, and construction operations
- Proficiency in MCAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CAD Mep, Rhino, and/or similar design software)
- Familiar with construction documentation and coordination software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360)
- Basic understanding of scripting and programming languages to enhance design processes (e.g., Python, C#, VB.Net)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Interpersonal and team building skills with ability to work across organizational levels and with clients and vendors
- Ability to apply active listening skills to hear and understand ideas, options, and opinions of others
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
- Project management experience, organizational skills with attention to detail, and able to quickly adapt and prioritize responsibilities while working in fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and analysis skills for decision-making and problem-solving
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and timely documentation
- Professional verbal and written business communication skills, with effective presentation delivery
- Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies
