Maintenance Technician

• Reports to the Project Manager, MCLP, or Property Manager and supervises maintenance staff when assigned.
• Assists licensed tradespeople and engineers as needed across various tasks.
• Performs preventive maintenance, maintains records, and submits mechanic reports.
• Handles repairs and upkeep of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, steam systems, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs gas and oil-fired burners and related controls.
• Conducts building rounds to inspect HVAC equipment and maintains detailed log sheets.
• Trains or orients new employees on building systems and procedures.
• Maintains accurate time sheets, repair history cards, and logs of work and parts used.
• Assists with energy conservation efforts and equipment planning or estimating when needed.
• Ensures high-quality work standards and attends meetings as required by management.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial building operations and maintenance with a high school diploma and technical certification.
• Holds a Massachusetts Refrigeration Journeyman License.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and locksmithing.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with chemical treatment for non-potable water and steam systems, and knowledge of CFC, IAQ, and other building operations standards.
• Familiar with regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA) and possesses strong communication skills and a valid driver's license.
