Staffmark is looking for a Senior Planner/Buyer to take a proactive leadership role in managing material planning, procurement, and vendor relationships in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This direct-hire position in Ontario, CA, is ideal for a supply chain professional who thrives under minimal supervision and is driven to meet customer demand through efficient, cost-effective planning and sourcing strategies. Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday) Salary: $85,000-$90,000 annually (based on experience) As a Senior Planner/Buyer, you'll be responsible for MRP-based planning, purchase order management, and vendor negotiations that directly impact production schedules, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery performance. You will work cross-functionally to ensure all materials-whether raw, MRO, or consumables-are sourced effectively and delivered on schedule while aligning with company and ISO/AS9100 standards. Responsibilities Plan and schedule materials and production to meet demand Manage purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and delivery tracking Optimize inventory turnover and ensure material availability Source and qualify suppliers; maintain compliance with ISO/AS9100 Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance tracking Qualifications Bachelor's degree + 5 years' planning/purchasing experience or Associate degree + 10 years Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MRP/ERP systems (AS4000 preferred) Ability to read engineering drawings and analyze supply needs Strong negotiation, planning, and communication skills Prior experience in manufacturing and scheduling preferred Why Join Us This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, a stable work environment, and the opportunity to influence supply chain performance in a hands-on, impactful role.
