Responsibilities
The Brand Design teams at State Farm are responsible for design excellence at scale for customer-facing and internal-facing communications. As a Senior Motion Graphics Designer on the Brand Design Corporate Communications Team, you will report to the Brand Design Manager and partner with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Design Operations Leads, and Production Coordinators. You will have direct and indirect responsibilities for projects such as:
- Design system development, including style and usage guidelines
- Application of brand assets across internal and external communications, including static, digital, motion, and events
- Mixed media video, display, digital signage, and social
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Applying design principles and aesthetics throughout the creative development process to produce motion graphics for various digital media platforms.
- Supporting design and animation of external and internal communications by updating existing projects, developing iterative concepts, and versioning final tactic output to meet specific platform needs.
- Maintaining the highest level of design and brand consistency across motion graphics projects.
- Collaborating closely with Design Operations teams to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Working with team members within and outside of Brand Design to provide solutions that align with strategy and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Providing evaluation and/or recommendations for design tools.
Qualifications
Qualified Candidates Will Possess the Following:
- BFA or BA degree in Design, Visual Communication, Motion Graphics, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a design agency environment
- A portfolio showcasing motion design experience and technical skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong visual aesthetic and the ability to work within a brand identity system
- Expertise in storyboarding and conceptualizing motion graphics
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of a creative structure, including presenting to senior creative staff and executive levels
- Experience with Cinema 4D is a plus
- Experience with Workfront is a plus

- May require travel via commercial transportation or motor vehicles
- May work irregular hours, including weekends/holidays
- Responsible for the handling and maintenance of confidential and highly sensitive information
- Involvement in company approved educational programs as applicable for continued development
If a creative portfolio is not linked to your resume, you will be asked to share a portfolio that provides a sample of your best work that showcases motion design experience and technical skills. It should represent modern and/or trending design and should be recent (3-5 years).

- Potential starting salary range: $63,976.25- $99,540.63
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
