Job Description

As a Sr. Implementation Consultant for Visa Acceptance Solutions (VAS), you will play a pivotal role in supporting and accelerating the onboarding process for both newly signed and existing merchant and partner clients. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the production deployment of new VAS services, ensuring a seamless and efficient implementation.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive project and program management services, coupled with expert technical, functional, and best practice implementation advice. Your goal will be to enhance the client experience and expedite their implementation timeline, ensuring they can fully leverage the benefits of VAS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with merchant and partner clients to develop strategies that facilitate and expedite the production deployment of VAS services
  • Leverage project management, technical and functional experience to advise and assist merchant and partner clients with the implementation of VAS services
  • Design and architect project plans for onboarding merchant and partner clients
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen the merchant and partner client relationship
  • Set and manage merchant and partner client expectations regarding schedule and VAS service capabilities and limitations
  • Apply independent thought and judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve problems as they arise
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the VAS implementation team throughout the client engagement process
  • Stay current with VAS product offerings and service enhancements and updates
  • Collaborate with VAS Product Management teams to align solution offerings with customer needs based on feedback received during the implementation process

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • PMP certification or demonstrated experience (at least 6+ years) with complex implementations using project management methodology
  • Proven leadership experience in managing complex implementation projects for enterprise merchants
  • Extensive experience with project management tools and techniques
  • Expertise in scoping complex implementations, including the ability to create and modify project plans, estimate tasks and apply project lifecycle methodologies
  • Required knowledge of payment, security, and risk management systems within the industry
  • Strong knowledge of services and technologies used in online, mobile and POS environments
  • Preferred knowledge of VAS products and services
  • Experience in customer relationship management, including significant interaction with merchants, vendors, partners, and internal departments and resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 128,000 to 185,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
