Job Description
Kearney & Company is seeking a Digital Forensics Consultant to join our team in Alexandria, VA! Duties include but are not limited to:
- Investigate/review security-related incidents utilizing various tools (e.g. EDR, SEIM, EnCase)
- Configure, deploy, and manage digital forensics tools
- Experience with M365, Azure, and AWS
- Ability to investigate Virtual Machines, Cloud Trail, IAM logs
- Able to use state-of-the-art technologies such as EDR, SEIM, and full packet capture to perform hunt and investigative activity to examine endpoint and net-work based activity
- Able to create IR and forensics reports documenting findings, detailed analysis, recommendations, and lessons learned
- Able to develop and build security content, scripts, tools, or methods to enhance forensic processes
- Work with Insider Threat Investigations on DLP cases
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS Information Technology / Information Systems or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience conducting, or supporting digital forensic analysis (Windows, Linux, and Mac); digital media acquisition (disk duplication); mobile device acquisition/analysis; and malware analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: preferred in any of the following: SANS GIAC: GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GISF, GXPN, GCTI, GOSI, EnCase (EnCE, CFSR, ENCEP)

This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
