Manager Revenue Accounting Position Summary The Manager Revenue Accounting is responsible for ensuring JetBlue's passenger revenue is accounted for and reported accurately and on time.This responsibility includes overseeing general ledger postings, reconciliations, analysis of budget versus actual, as well as ensuring internal controls are properly maintained.The Manager also is responsible for maintaining budgets and forecasts and ensuring successful implementation of all passenger revenue initiatives, including accounting process and policy development, technical accounting research, systems testing etc. In addition, this Manager supervises and directs the activities of several crewmembers. Essential Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting for passenger ticket revenue, ancillary fees, customer vouchers and credits and their related assets and liabilities
- Maintain all proper accounting under Revenue from Contracts with Customers, ASC Topic 606
- Liaise and manage the relationship with an off-shore business partner
- Manage the accounting for our Interline and Codeshare partnerships, including the review of contract terms and systems implementation
- Perform budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility
- Create models and analytics to support accounting estimates
- Ensure systems are properly tested and compliant with any accounting and reporting needs when new revenue initiatives are implemented
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums
- Research, analyze and conclude on the proper accounting treatment of new revenue sources and initiatives
- Understand contract terms and translate them into the appropriate application of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Foster a team environment and collaborate with other internal departments and external business partners
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing audit deliverables as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal controls; document and develop new procedures when required
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Five (5) years' experience in accounting roles, including public accounting and/or with a public company
- Proven understanding of accounting theory and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with Tableau, SQL or similar tools
- Previous airline industry experience
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who possesses a sense of urgency and an ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands
- Previous experience with supervising others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with system implementations and/or major system enhancements

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
