DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role is designed to oversee and engage in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for various applications. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including gathering requirements through interviews with users and process owners, analyzing and prioritizing existing documentation, and developing use cases along with supplemental requirements. The position also involves collaborating with other departments to establish necessary infrastructure and support for applications, documenting test outcomes, and addressing defect resolutions. Additionally, the individual is tasked with providing clear and concise status updates to Executive Management, business areas, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding the progress, challenges, and developments related to ongoing enhancement and defect resolution efforts.
Effective communication is essential, as the role requires interaction with external management personnel from the Bureau of Solutions Management (BSM) and the Bureau of Infrastructure and Operations (BIO), as well as contractors such as Application Management Services (AMS). The position also necessitates collaboration with various internal business and processing areas, including but not limited to Drivers Licensing and Control Systems (DL&C), Vehicle Titling and Registration (VR), and Online Driver and Vehicle Services (eGov). Furthermore, the employee will serve as a liaison between business users and IT staff responsible for system modifications and coding. Participation in work measurement, work simplification, and manpower utilization studies is also expected, contributing to the overall design and efficiency of systems. The role involves a variety of analytical tasks related to the support and maintenance of electronic data processing methods across multiple applications, ensuring that they function effectively and meet user needs. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may be required to work when a full-day and/or partial-day office closing is authorized. To include but not limited to, early dismissals for inclement weather; the day before holidays; special holiday closings.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of business process analysis experience; or
- One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
