Overview

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst I - Core Banking maintains and supports the software quality assurance (QA) practice within the organization, including assisting with conducting end-to-end testing, maintaining project testing requirements and artifacts, and assisting with developing and executing test scripts. Works with the technology team to develop a test strategy/plan, documents issues found during testing, follows issues through to resolution, and ensures the QA practice meets business, technical, functional, security, and performance requirements through the software development life cycle (SDLC).



Responsibilities

    Assists with developing, maintaining, and executing testing strategy, plans, and scripts for all assigned products based on stated requirements and specifications.
  • Supports the development team through detailed testing efforts and focusing on solving problems and providing guidance to business stakeholders.
  • Conducts unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in support of successful product verifications and releases.
  • Defines and tracks software quality assurance metrics such as defects, severity, status, and remediation using approved testing solutions.
  • Prepares relevant documentation and reports outlining results of testing and providing analysis and recommendations for the project team.
  • Communicates regularly with the project team to coordinate testing activities and provide regular status updates.
  • Assists with analyzing existing business systems to develop relevant test scripts and provide insights to the development team.
  • Assist with executing existing automated test suites, ensuring their relevance and effectiveness.
  • May be called upon to maintain source code change history (using Software Version Control) and enforce adherence to established processes and standards.
  • Performs other related software quality assurance responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work within their team and have a direct impact on their tasks.


Qualifications

Education

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • Description: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, MIS, Engineering or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0
  • Preferred Years of Experience: 2
  • Comments: 0 to 2 years of progressive experience in software testing.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Ability to analyze requirements, develop a test strategy, create and execute test cases, track defects, and report results.
  • Working knowledge of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Ability to gather and organize data, develop testing strategy, and to analyze, interpret, and formulate sound conclusions and recommendations.
  • Organized and detail oriented, able to effectively perform multiple/concurrent tasks within deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgement in decision making,
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools like Azure Dev Ops, Jira or other tools is a plus.
  • Experience with automated testing solutions is a plus
  • Experience with Web technologies, SQL testing, REST API, and CI/CD is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack and/or Symitar Episys is a plus
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile Development concepts is a plus.
