Here's how you will make an impact:

  • Generate critical analytical data to support activated carbon product and plant development and process
  • improvement efforts at our global manufacturing facilities
  • Conduct materials characterization and specialized testing on activated carbon-based products
  • Responsible for analytical equipment integrity and maintenance for minimal interruptions in analytical capability
  • Focus on quality with compliance to laboratory IATF/ISO requirements

Here is what you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-based discipline
  • 2 years of analytical lab experience including wet chemistry, equipment calibration/verification, and operation of analytical instruments preferred
  • Ability to contribute to small-scale project data and reporting
  • High standards for data accuracy and reporting within internal systems
  • Experience with operating and troubleshooting analytical equipment
  • Strong computer skills and experience with instrument and database software
  • Attention to detail and ability to efficiently organize tasks
  • Ability to work respectfully and effectively within a diverse team including a small group of laboratory peers and a larger group of scientists and engineers
  • High standards for working safely, including proper storage, labeling, and use of chemicals, compliance with safe work practices and policies, and housekeeping
  • This role is not eligible for relocation

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting at a desk for 8-12 hours
  • Standing for 12-16 hours
  • Climbing stairs and ladders
  • Walking for 2-8 hours per day
  • Minor physical lifting and movement as it relates to test equipment and samples

Work environment:

  • Office setting, outdoors manufacturing plant setting, hazardous chemicals environment
