Position: Business Analyst, Mid-level - FAA

Function: Business Partnership Support in FAA Office of Information Technology

Location: Remote Site/Cobec Site - DC

Remote Work Option: Yes

Salary Range: $90- $130k

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Public Trust cannot be granted without meeting the residency requirement.

Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance (moderate risk), including a soft credit check and criminal background check. Please refer to the criteria listed in
5 CFR 731.202 to understand the Public Trust suitability requirements.

Job Summary

The individual in this role serves the Intake, Portfolio Review, Core Services, External Funding Agreement, and Front Office workstreams within the Business Partnership Services (BPS) Support engagement in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT). This position is responsible for cultivating strong client relationships while executing a diverse range of activities, including project management, facilitation of client meetings, requirements gathering, research, and business process assessments.

Years of Relevant Experience

The position requires 10+ equivalent years of experience in project management, facilitation of client meetings, requirements gathering, research, and business process assessments. Specific experience with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or the Department of Defense (DoD) is desired.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive reporting and analytics to support program initiatives.
  • Review and analyze data pertinent to BPS operations.
  • Develop briefing materials based on data analysis findings.
  • Generate necessary artifacts, including:


* Data reports

* Dashboards

* Presentations to measure and communicate performance metrics.



  • Document findings from data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Review and assess existing Intake and Portfolio Review processes.
  • Identify and recommend areas for enhancement.
  • Support the implementation of identified improvements.
  • Maintain an online knowledge management repository for AIT intake stakeholders.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly operational meetings related to the intake process.
  • Provide advisory support to the BPS Director and Deputy Director.
  • Assist in ongoing strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Develop materials to enhance stakeholder engagement and organizational communications.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to BPS operational management.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive strategic objectives.
  • Create status reports and track action plans.
  • Assess AIT processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze FAA IT operations and policies to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and confirm the operating model for BPS.
  • Update and document processes, including workforce planning, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support the implementation of the future state operating model.
  • Facilitate continuous operations improvement activities and technology modernization transition initiatives.



Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Math, Operations Research, Business, or Finance.

Master's degree is a plus and may count as additional years of experience.

Skills Requirements

* High level of proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and other MS Office Products.

* Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Travel

Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
