POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervise and provide leadership, training and guidance to the Financial Counselors. Promote excellence in the daily financial counseling operations. Maintain a high level of expertise regarding external and internal collections. Model excellence in interactions with staff, patients and families who seek financial counseling services.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Prior health insurance benefits experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Strong communication and math skills. Ability to operate general office equipment and computer terminals. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of hospital business office billing procedures. Ability to work well under pressure to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Abilities to set priorities and effectively solve problems.
