Job Description Summary: The CAPEX Program Director is a newly formed position and a direct report to the Chief Operating Officer as part of the Office of the CEO. This individual works directly with the executive leadership team and functional leads to develop the long-term approach needed to lead a $250M five-year portfolio and daily execution of the $50M annual capital investment corporate portfolio in line with our corporate integrated business plan (IBP). This position plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day leadership of Draper and will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership across each of the main 12 Draper locations as well future build locations and is integral to positioning Draper to deliver business growth.The CAPEX Program Director will develop an annual capital financial planning process, will focus on investment requirements, operational improvements, and facility and network plans. This individual is also responsible for delivering capital capabilities on time and on budget. The CAPEX Program Director 1 will parse out objectives from the corporate Integrated Business Plan and will lead reporting on execution through monthly program reviews and delivery of quarterly business reviews (QBR) ensuring consistent delivery of financial results, mission deliverables, and customer satisfaction. The director should use standard business tools and procedures to execute and manage cost, schedule, opportunities, risks, and performance to include development of resourced integrated master schedules while taking performance and reporting out on and using program financial controls. A key responsibility of the director is to work closely with company executives and functional leaders to align execution to our strategy and develop a holistic approach for execution of capital investments. Many of the CAPEX Program Director portfolio efforts focus on construction efforts meeting ICD705 plus security standards, use of Title 3 funds, knowledge of Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), integration of secure networks, and expansion of other capital tool investments. Therefore, experience in or adjacent to construction management, familiarity with secure facilities and networks, and knowledge of USG Title 3 funds, in addition to program and portfolio management as well as experience leading profit and loss is highly desired. The role demands effective communication skills to convey clear and concise messaging at all organizational levels.
