Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $64,350 - $65,000 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Clinical Research Coordinator will contribute to research studies focused on lung disease within the Department of Medicine. This individual will play a key role in assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) with the planning and implementation of a new biorepository. The primary objective of this initiative is to establish a comprehensive collection of biological samples from patients under the care of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care physicians to support future research endeavors, including NIH and industry-sponsored studies. Responsibilities include assisting with participant recruitment, conducting study visits, collecting biological samples, and ensuring the meticulous maintenance of accurate and detailed study data. The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, demonstrate proficiency in maintaining precise records, and exhibit a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with patients. Responsibilities Assist with the identification, screening, and enrollment of eligible subjects for clinical research studies via telephone and/or in-person interactions. Collect, process, and manage research samples and/or specimens according to established protocols. Support the administration of questionnaires, diaries, and other data collection instruments as required by study protocols. Assist in the thorough review of study documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Perform accurate and timely data entry and contribute to the ongoing efforts to ensure data integrity and consistency across study databases. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy certification or documented phlebotomy training. A minimum of one year of relevant clinical research or equivalent experience.
