The Strategic Sourcing Specialist- PCBA Electrical Components will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) electrical components. This role requires a deep understanding of the electronics supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key suppliers. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for PCBA electrical components to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining high quality and reliability. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, build and manage relationships with suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Market Analysis: Ongoing monitoring of market trends, pricing, and availability of components. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sourcing strategies on a regular basis. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions. Develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply. Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and process improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure component specifications meet product requirements. Compliance: Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment and on the production floor. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. On the production floor, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, use fine hand motor skills/dexterity, use repetitive motions, and lift and/or move up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel Occasional travel may be expected for this position. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, specifically in PCBA electrical components. In-depth understanding of PCBA electrical components, electronics manufacturing processes, and global supply chain dynamics. Proficiency in MRP, Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, and supply chain management software and tools. Preferred Education and Experience Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
