Role

Responsible for the maintenance of all buildings, facilities, equipment, machinery and grounds of Otto's Charlotte Property. Initiate, implement and manage the plant maintenance program, based on best practices for plastic injection molding, with an emphasis on planning and scheduling preventative and predictive maintenance care.


Duties & Responsibilities

* Responsible for overall maintenance, repair and upkeep of the company's buildings, equipment, machinery and vehicles including contract maintenance from outside vendor relationships.

* Establish and oversee all contracts pertaining to rental and equipment owned.

* Manage and direct all outside maintenance contracts for chillers, overhead cranes, air compressors, alarm system, facilities, etc.

* Maintains both on and off-hour emergency response teams to include repairing equipment stabilizing damages and calling in support personnel as needed.

* Document all maintenance activities in support of ISO certifications.

* Work closely with engineering, quality, materials, and management staff to align maintenance activities with company objectives.

* Manage various technical projects.

* Responsible for training and development, as well as performance evaluations of direct reports.

* Coordinates daily, weekly and monthly service for buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.

* {C}{C}Oversee and coordinates the cleaning and janitorial maintenance of facility and grounds.

* {C}{C}Manage and oversee the internal communication system and tools (2-way radios).

* {C}{C}Responsible for compliance and maintaining relationships with county, city and government entities and outside agencies regarding all code compliance, environmental and safety regulations.

* {C}{C}Manage and oversee the storm-water pollution prevention plan.

* {C}{C}Manage and oversee the underground storage tank with monitoring and reporting.

* {C}{C}Research and initiate cost reduction incentives relating to management of buildings and grounds.

* {C}{C}Oversee the maintenance and repair of maintenance shop equipment.

* {C}{C}Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment, and initiate reordering when necessary.

* {C}{C}Manage the start-up of a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.

* {C}{C}Maintains technical prints for machines, tooling and facilities.

* {C}{C}Follow all policies and operational procedures of company's EMS..

* {C}{C}Schedules and maintains collaborations of equipment pertaining to the EMS.

* {C}{C}Maintains EMS documents and records for oil, chemical and water systems.

* {C}{C}Follow all company safety policies and procedures.



  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development.


* Perform and manage special projects associated with safety or cost savings, delegating responsibilities, setting targets for projects and following through to their successful completion.

* Works with HR to coordinate the training and development of employees. Includes identifying development needs, implementing programs as required, carefully monitoring progress and coordinating with HR as required.

* Evaluates process and procedures and makes recommendations to management for Continuous Improvement opportunities. Instills an entrepreneurial spirit within the company, encouraging the same among direct reports.

* Member of Site Leadership Team, ability to meet with peer managers, provide necessary input on results, plans and opportunities. Ability to develop strong working relationships with a diverse team with a focus on improvements to the business.

Education/Experience

* {C}{C}3-5 years' experience in plastic injection molding operations management, preferably large tonnage machines.

* {C}{C}3-5 years' experience in facilities management of building and grounds within a manufacturing facility.

* {C}{C}5 + years of management experience in Maintenance or Manufacturing Management environment.

* {C}{C}Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

* {C}{C}Problem solving and strong analytical skills required.

Effort/Physical Demands:

* {C}{C}May be required to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of production.

This position contributes to quality products by ensuring overall compliance to defined Product Specifications, the Quality Management System, and the Quality Policy. Additionally, this position promotes a safe work environment by complying with the defined Safety rules and regulations at all times.




Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per hour
