The Snap Inc. Center for Computer & Teacher Education at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Business Manager I - Sponsor Funded Professional.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position will provide administrative support to Snap Inc. Center for Computer & Teacher Education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Project management, including managing internal contracts for affiliate faculty, monitoring progress of affiliated faculty, organizing meetings and workshops for initiatives, and assisting in the preparation of ethics protocols.
  • Post-award grant administration, including creating monthly expense reports, monitoring expenditures and reimbursements, executing budget amendments, and supporting the organization of conferences and workshops.
  • Fund management for the center, including moving funds between endowment and spendable accounts, creating expense reports, creating annual budget, making annual budget amendments.
  • Physical space management, including maintaining bookings for center space, supporting workshops and external groups, arranging physical space, and maintaining and purchasing equipment.

***This is a regular, full-time position which involves on-campus and online duties, with job continuation dependent upon grant funding.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree and two years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Knowledge of computer equipment and information systems, such as Microsoft Office, and willing to learn systems used by GSU, such as PeopleSoft Spectrum
  • Willing to learn, abide by, and advise center members on compliance with University rules, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of business and financial management practices
  • Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Preferred - prior experience with grant and project management
  • Preferred - an interest in computer science education
  • Preferred - familiarity as an adult with the K-12 public school system
