Overview:

Loureiro Engineering Associates has an immediate need for a Project Manager to join our water/wastewater team. Loureiro is seeking a candidate to lead the engineering design and project management of several industrial wastewater treatment design and design/build projects. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver with expertise in process design, and a proven and effective communicator both internally and externally. The selected individual will also play a key role in expanding our growing water/wastewater services. This role will based out of our Plainville, CT office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for the industrial wastewater treatment market.
  • Responsible for overall financial and technical performance of projects, including supervision and oversight, plan and report preparation, permitting, preparation and managing budgets and schedules, and maintaining positive client and staff relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage engineering design and design/build projects from conceptual design through construction.
  • Maintaining established relationships with clients through the effective communication of the project scope, schedule, and budget related to water/wastewater engineering and construction projects.
  • Travel will be required to support specific project needs during design and construction. Up to 15% travel in aggregate.
  • Business development efforts will include preparation of proposals, project interviews and marketing activities.
  • Frequent interaction with clients, potential clients, owners and regulators.
  • Client focused as a “Seller/Doer” with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to work independently and on large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor and develop a remote project team.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of professional experience with an engineering consulting or design firm.
  • 3+ years as a Project Manager with proven track record of successful project management.
  • Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
  • BS degree in engineering discipline.
  • Must be either a US Citizen, or naturalized with green card and ability to work on-site at aerospace and defense manufacturing facilities. 



Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Able to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
