The Moog Military Aircraft Test Systems Engineering Group is currently seeking a Drafting Supervisor to lead our design drafting group. As the supervisor, you will be responsible to lead a team of 7-10 design drafters, further develop modeling / drafting standards, and be heavily involved with model based definition. This role will report to the East Aurora Test Systems Site Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Associate degree in a technical major and typically ten years drafting experience, preferably four of which have been as a Sr. Design Drafter or equivalent

  • Due to involvement with certain government programs, US Citizenship is required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with NX software

  • Strong understanding of GD&T

  • Experience with Teamcenter/NX and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach design drafters of various skill sets and experience

  • Knowledge of model based definition

As the Design Drafter Supervisor, you will:

  • Contribute as a key member on a team of creative, independent individuals to develop, integrate, and verify complex hydraulic and electromechanical control systems

  • Participate in design product discussions across development teams and Moog sites

  • Drive staffing planning and coordination of a growing team of design drafting

  • Lead and mentor team members by providing goals, feedback and recognition and developing talent through career planning and progression

  • Model best practices, as well as Moog core values, to promote development of world-class talent

  • Support bid and proposal estimations, sales support, expense, and capital projects as needed

  • Contribute to the long term strategy and lead implementation of new engineering drafting processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Create and oversee the creation of CAD models and drawings using Siemens NX

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $115,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
