Job Details
The on-call Catholic Chaplain (Associate Chaplain) will provide pastoral care to patients, families, and staff. Must have a Catholic background. The Priest must be someone who can administer the sacraments of the Catholic Church. Work Location: Bethesda, MD PRN - on call (flexible hours but mainly evenings/ nights/ weekends) flexibility in hours. You should expect around 20 hours a week with a flexible schedule. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: College degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or Theological Studies Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, CPE Graduate Theological Degree or equivalent (preferred) Ecclesiastical endorsement (preferred) Ordination as a minister in an organized faith tradition (preferred) Board Certification with an accrediting agency such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, APC (preferred) Three years' experience as a chaplain in a health care, military, or hospice setting Salary Range: Minimum $1.00/hour - Maximum $1,000.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
