Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Job Description
The Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology (S&T) is seeking a full-time postdoctoral associate with expertise and interest in Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding. Research will fall within the broad topics of hydrometeorology and hydrology. Of particular interest is the development of quantitative precipitation forecasts based on machine/deep learning, as well as their evaluation including their impact on the prediction of pluvial flooding. The research team is open to other relevant research topics and encourages all qualified applicants to apply. Qualifications
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related field prior to starting this position is required. Candidates from subsets of fields including hydrology, hydrometeorology, and water resources engineering are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in processing and analyzing large data sets is required. Expertise in computer programming in Python or R is required. Application Deadline
