The Automation Specialist is responsible for the analysis, implementation, evaluation, and modification of the system(s) used to control and monitor the processes within the facility. Responsible for providing programming and PLC hardware support to plant equipment. Perform analysis, evaluation, and modifications to all process control systems software as required to support normal operations. Perform modifications to the Advisor display screen as required. Maintain configuration management and programming documentation in accordance with required project procedures. Perform troubleshooting of PLC hardware, I/O racks, and associated control system hardware in upset conditions. Perform tuning of control loops via the process control software utilizing systems analysis techniques. Performs corrective maintenance activities applicable to the replacement of PLC I/O cards, PLC output relays, and PLC protective devices. JOB REQUIREMENTS 5 plus years industrial/applicable experience required. At least 10 years industrial experience including control systems upgrades and installation experience preferred. Fully competent in PLC programming. Modern control system experience, Allen Bradley PLC's and Wonderware HMI software experience, and Rosemont monitoring equipment experience. High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree and control systems training CEU's/certificates preferred. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
