Position Title: Welder
Wage: $20-$24/hr. Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday Join an employee-owned company with full benefits, competitive pay, and steady work. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Proficient in assigned welding techniques - Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolism - Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials - Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) - Conventional and precision measuring instruments - Process inspection, certification, and documentation - Welding equipment maintenance - Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools - Safety and housekeeping - Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor Welder Requirements: - High school degree or equivalent - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder in heavy industry or steel - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, work instructions, and procedure manuals - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form - Mechanical aptitude - Must have strong attention to detail - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions - Ability to communicate and work well with others throughout the organization - Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in unique situation - Lift, stand, bend, push, pull, etc. Benefits: Flexible schedule, 401(k) plus ER matching, additional retirement benefit-ESOP (100% Employee-Owned Plan), monthly production incentives, quarterly profit sharing, employer paid health insurance, employer paid STD, employer paid life insurance, additional voluntary life insurance and LTD available, generous paid time off policy, 9 paid holidays, parental leave, referral incentives, dental insurance, vision insurance, wellness programs QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
