AMD's Data Center Platform Engineering Group {DPEG} is designing, building and delivering innovative technology infrastructure enabling the digital world. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Board Verification Manager to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD's product, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. This leadership role is critical for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our electrical hardware systems designed by the Data Center GPU System Design teams.
THE PERSON:
As the Board Verification leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing component/board/system methodologies, managing a talented team of engineers, allocating resources effectively, and serving as the primary board verification stakeholder in cross-functional discussions and executive reviews. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in electrical verification/validation, proven leadership capabilities, and exceptional communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across board validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives.
  • Define, establish, and continuously improve team strategies, methodologies, standards, and processes for electrical hardware components and systems.
  • Develop and maintain standardized test plan templates, reporting formats, and documentation requirements to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Ensure board processes align with overall product development lifecycles.
  • Debugging issues found during the process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
  • Oversee the team's day-to-day activities, manage workload distribution, set priorities, and ensure timely execution of verification tasks according to project schedules.
  • Conduct performance reviews, support career development, and identify training needs for team members.
  • Manage team resource allocation (personnel, budget, equipment) effectively across multiple projects.
  • Working with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time.
  • Leading collaborative approach with multiple teams.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Debug techniques and methodologies.
  • Extensive experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Extensive experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details.
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred.
