Are you a passionate Systems Engineer ready to take on new challenges and lead innovative projects? We are on the hunt for a dynamic professional with a flair for Windows Server and IIS experience to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Role: Lead and inspire a team, acting as a mentor to new hires and a resource to colleagues.

  • Strategic Design & Solutions: Craft strategies to boost application availability, performance, and overall health.

  • Issue Resolution: Tackle and resolve complex product application support issues.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to identify, remediate, and prevent recurring issues.

  • Incident Analysis: Troubleshoot and analyze recurring incidents to improve mean time to resolution or recommend corrective actions.

  • DevOps Participation: Engage in application deployment and management.

  • Process Creation: Define and facilitate processes to ensure application services align with SLOs or SLAs.

  • Disaster Recovery: Create, maintain, and automate disaster recovery documentation.

  • Audit Support: Provide evidence to support annual audits.

Candidate must be based in the metropolitan area of our hub city Columbus, OH. Position will primarily allow for remote working.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, exercising judgment within broad policies and practices.

  • 4-7+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration.

  • 4-7+ years in application support for both traditional fat client and web-based applications on Windows Server with SQL Server database backend.

  • 3+ years supporting system integration solutions with web services/APIs using Windows Server IIS.

  • 3+ years of experience with automated build/provisioning processes.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages for application or cloud automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Cloud providers such as GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and/or Citrix.

  • Proficient in monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Datadog, or Dynatrace.

  • Understanding of DevOps tools/environments like Jenkins, Git, Rundeck, and/or Terraform.

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

  • Ability to analyze highly complex systems with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Team leader mentality with a focus on inclusion.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Computer Science preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Cloud certification is strongly desired.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$110,400 - $184,000
