Performance testing engineer

We are looking for a self-starter Performance testing engineer with excellent technical expertise in JMeter, Selenium & SauceLab experience

Location: San Fransico, CA or Alpharetta, GA

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Hybrid position, 5 days a week at the office.

Responsibilities

* Lead the planning and execution of test strategies for software projects ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

* Oversee the development and implementation of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools.

* Provide expertise in JMeter to conduct performance testing and identify potential bottlenecks in the system.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans.

* Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders highlighting key findings and recommendations.

* Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of the existing test automation framework for improved efficiency.

* Mentor junior team members sharing knowledge and best practices in testing methodologies.

* Coordinate with developers to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery of quality software.

* Monitor and track testing progress adjusting plans as necessary to meet project objectives.

* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing team to enhance processes and tools.

* Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into future testing cycles.

* Support the team in achieving high standards of quality assurance and customer satisfaction.

* Drive innovation in testing practices to keep pace with industry advancements. Qualifications

* Possess strong technical skills in automation testing and JMeter with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

* Demonstrate experience in the payer domain providing valuable insights into industry-specific testing needs.

* Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail ensuring thorough and accurate testing.

* Show proficiency in creating and maintaining test documentation including test plans and test cases.

* Display effective communication skills facilitating collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

* Have a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and testing tools.

* Bring a customer-focused mindset prioritizing the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
