To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering. Provides assistance in all operational aspect of the Engineering Department.



Responsibilities

* Assist the Director of Engineering / Assistant Director of Engineering/ Engineering Manager in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
* Assist the Director of Engineering and the Assistant Director of Engineering the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
* Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
* Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
* Respond to guest requests.
* Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
* Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering and Assistant Director of Engineering.
* Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
* Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.



Qualifications

    Previous building maintenance experience required. Class 3 positions are entry level. Class 2 positions require a minimum of 1 year building maintenance experience, preferably in hotels. Class 1 positions require a minimum of 2 years hotel maintenance experience.
  • Experience with electrical, HVAC and working knowledge of powered and handheld tools and equipment. For Class 2 and 1 positions, stricter electrical and HVAC experience will be upheld.
  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
  • Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
  • Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
  • 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder, work in high places and confined areas.
  • Lift driving required | Electric saws, hand tools, drills, grinders.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holiday.
