Job Summary:

As a Creative Project Specialist, you will lead the development and delivery of complex, high-value sales and retention proposals, presentations, and other creative collateral for Compass Group. This strategic and highly visible role supports the sales team by managing all aspects of proposal and creative project lifecycles-from content direction and messaging strategy to stakeholder coordination and final delivery.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts across all levels of the organization to ensure deliverables align with client needs, reflect Compass Group's positioning, and meet all project requirements. In addition to strong organizational and multitasking skills, this role requires strategic thinking and creative insight to shape compelling responses that differentiate Compass Group in a competitive marketplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage high-value, complex sales and retention proposals from start through award.
  • Coordinate creative development and content strategy for proposals, presentations, and collateral
  • Analyze RFPs to ensure compliance and alignment with client needs and company positioning
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Creative teams to gather content
  • Develop, edit, and review content to ensure clarity, quality, and messaging consistency
  • Maintain project timelines, communicate status updates, and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Present ideas and contribute to sales strategy and creative direction
  • Mentor junior team members and support stakeholder collaboration
  • Manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Travel occasionally and support in-person client presentations when needed
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in proposal management, business development, or a related field
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects from start to finish
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills across formats and audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Smartsheet)
  • Familiarity with RFP processes; experience in foodservice is a plus
  • Comfortable using both Mac and PC platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in both remote and in-office environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting sales strategy through RFP responses and presentation development
  • Strong creative and technical copywriting abilities
  • Project management certification or formal training
  • Basic financial literacy, including understanding of margins and pricing models
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other Creative Suite applications
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their practical applications in content development
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
