Job Summary:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Catering Manager at Compass Group USA, you will have the outstanding opportunity to lead all aspects of and coordinate both internal and external catering events. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering outstanding service and eager to lead a dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and develop managers, focusing on improving service techniques, menu presentation, and adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Build and lead operating statements, reports, and operational budgets, ensuring financial targets and forecasts are met.

  • Plan and direct catering activities, including crafting proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.

  • Develop and monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.

  • Maintain a local client database and build positive relationships with vendors.

  • Ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are closely followed in compliance with HACCP.

  • Efficiently implement labor cost control, food cost control, preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and clean-up of all events.

  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven track record for meeting sales goals.

  • Strong knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining points of service.

  • A minimum of two years of experience in the hospitality industry, including at least one year in catering sales.

  • Demonstrated supervisory, scheduling, training, and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to assess client requirements and deliver outstanding happiness.

  • Capable of supervising food preparation, service, and clean-up.

  • Knowledgeable in A/V equipment setup and breakdown for events.

  • Outstanding quantitative, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, flexible and adaptable to constant changes with attention to detail.

  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Proactive approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure and anticipate business changes.

  • Dedication to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.

  • Outstanding client relations and customer service abilities.
