The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Auditor - Regulatory Reporting.

The Auditor - Regulatory Reporting supports the organization's overall regulatory reporting needs by applying an excellent understanding of clinical and quality processes and supporting information technologies to ensure accurate regulatory reporting. Provides customer support and education to enhance facility usage of available reports. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements such as Promoting Interoperability, eCQMs, MIPS, etc. Demonstrates superb analytical and research skills.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with corporate and facility personnel responsible for the regulatory reporting program to ensure reporting resources are available for them.
  • Works with vendor to report and manage any issues to resolution.
  • Works with other IS teams when information system changes or education are needed to drive data to reports accurately.
  • Researches, analyzes, and validates regulatory reports will meet the requirements.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and changes along with due dates for implementation of changes.
  • Complies with legal, hospital, departmental policies and procedures, and position requirements.
  • Adheres to UHS Project Management standards and Change Control processes.
  • Provides on call or after-hours support for urgent issues as required.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, and risks.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required with additional IT or Clinical certifications or credentialing preferred. Ongoing training required to keep jobs skills current.
  • Minimum 10 years in healthcare environment experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with clinical information systems. Cerner Millennium experience preferred.
  • Capable of working with the organization's leadership, clinical teams, and IT systems related to regulatory reporting.
  • Able to understand clinical and quality workflows and processes.
  • Has a good foundation of information technologies in a clinical environment.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Executives, Physicians, Vendors, Nurses and all other corporate, clinical and IT personnel.
  • Experience with analyzing clinical systems, troubleshooting, and identifying issues with data, reports or reporting platform.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to navigate clinical information system (EMR) to validate data showing in reports is accurate.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and clinical, quality, and operational personnel to accurately set up the regulatory reporting configuration.
  • Ability to read technical specifications on regulatory reporting software releases and understand changes coming to the reporting platform. Be able to use the correct change control process to manage the software release installations for the clinical information system.
  • Adaptability to manage workload to meet deadlines set by regulatory bodies.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

License & Registration: RN licensure is highly recommended.

Travel Requirements: 5 - 25% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
