We're seeking a Financial Analyst to drive financial planning, analysis, and reporting initiatives while supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making. This role combines analytical expertise with business acumen to deliver valuable financial insights across our organization.
This position will be located on-site at our headquarters office in West Des Moines, IA.

Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Lead comprehensive financial analyses and prepare detailed reports for management
  • Evaluate contract and business unit performance through advanced analytical methods
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance trends
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company policies
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
Strategic Pricing & Proposal Development
  • Design and implement pricing models for new and existing business opportunities
  • Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses, including ROI and breakeven calculations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business development, technical, and operations teams
  • Assess capacity requirements and resource allocation for new projects
  • Evaluate competitive landscape to ensure optimal pricing strategies
Financial Operations
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions
  • Manage monthly billing cycles for assigned contracts
  • Optimize financial operations through process improvement initiatives
  • Implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency
Budgeting & Performance Tracking
  • Develop and monitor budgets across business units and contracts
  • Track variances between actual and projected performance
  • Prepare and present financial performance reports to stakeholders
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit leaders
Special Projects & Analysis
  • Lead special financial initiatives and process improvement projects
  • Perform complex account reconciliations
  • Support audit preparations and compliance reviews
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 years in financial analysis or related field
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling
  • ERP systems
  • Business intelligence tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA)
  • Experience with government contracting and FAR regulations (48 CFR Part 31)
  • Proficiency in financial software and BI tools
  • Project management experience
