Job Summary Under the direction of the Sr Director of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager - North America is the functional leader for all supply chain functions within HellermannTyton North America. This individual is responsible for the alignment of people, processes, and systems to ensure the realization of the HellermannTyton North American strategy. This role oversees the planning and coordination of all supply chain-related strategies and activities. This includes, but is not limited to, corporate strategic initiatives, functional structure, policies, projects, and talent to support the goals of quality and the overall goals of HellermannTyton North America. Essential Functions
- Development and communication of a comprehensive vision for the Supply Chain at the local level, in sync with North American and Global strategic objectives and policies.
- Standardize planning, procurement, & stocking practices across all North American sites
- Lead HTNA vendor management program, quoting/pricing negotiations, & driving YOY cost savings initiatives across the procurement function of the sites
- Provide leadership to all supply chain functions across all North American sites
- Effective oversight of supply plan to minimize levels of inbound & outbound premium freight
- Consideration of strategic targets, key processes, organizational structure and inventory strategy Development and controlling of the Continuous Improvement Plan for supply chain processes based on measurements (KPI's)
- Employ key figures / measurements for the controlling of efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes (scope: delivery performance, cost savings, target inventory levels, inventory accuracy, process efficiency) in order to drive Continuous Improvement
- Assure that proper planning and controls are in place to assure target inventory levels are maintained to meet customer service levels and optimize production efficiencies and capabilities.
- Responsible for capacity planning processes to ensure customer demands are met
- Responsible for the inventory control systems including cycle count and physical count activities related to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Responsible for Item Master and related ERP system information.
- Responsible for all Procurement activities and related controls including supplier selection, pricing, supplier rating and associated controls and purchasing policies.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensure that employees in assigned department(s) comply with all Health, Safety, and Regulatory programs.
- Responsible for time and attendance reporting, completing performance/competency evaluations timely, competency training logs, providing feedback, motivation, and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned department(s).
- Maintain a cooperative attitude and open communication with personnel within organization to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain departmental budgets.
- Develop and promote continuous improvement projects within department and organization.
- Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO14001 certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Other Functions
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Ensure that good housekeeping/6S is maintained throughout departments.
Success in this role will require
- Lead, motivate, and train staff.
- Understanding of scheduling, budgets, and goals of departments and organizations.
- Schedule staff as necessary to meet department goals.
- Ability to use Lean tools and techniques to enhance departmental objectives.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in material and supply management, industrial/manufacturing, or an engineering discipline, business, or related field.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Preferred Minimum 7+ years of increasingly responsible professional Supply Chain experience with related experience in each of the disciplines of Distribution, Purchasing, Production Planning and Inventory Control. 2 years of which must have been in a Management capacity, preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain best practices.
- Thorough understanding of MRP concepts. Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems. (JD Edwards preferred)
- Computer literate, within a Windows environment. International distribution/logistics and purchasing experience preferred. Ability to travel by air/car as needed.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to work non-standard hours and weekends as necessary to meet department goals and objectives.
- Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance.
