Position Title: Intercoat Sander
Wage: $18.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm (overtime until 4:00pm) QPS Employment Group has a great Intercoat Sander position available at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Intercoat Sander Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Cover vulnerable areas with 1/2" masking tape. These couple minutes can save hours downstream. - Sanding. - Identify any defects from previous paint or production steps. - All sanded surfaces meet quality standards and pass inspection without requiring rework (No Burn Throughs). - Use appropriate sanding tools and techniques. - Conduct thorough inspections post-sanding. - All parts are washed thoroughly after sanding. - Use P800 grit sandpaper with small-throw DA sander. - Use light pressure and controlled movements. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. - Always be aware of paper contact on all surfaces, beware of inadvertent contact. - Sand up to and not over edges. - Scuff up to details and not over them. - Do not wrap the scuff pad with your fingers over the edges of parts. - Open Communication with leadership to prioritize workload. - Adjust to workflow changes quickly and efficiently. - Reviewing and accurately filling out production routers. - If you make a burn-through you must not make it again - don't repeat your mistakes. racine@qpsemployment.com IND012 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
