Job Title: Field Service Technician Location: Plano, TX 75074 Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr Duration: 3 months Workplace Type: On-site Job Description: We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support a Microsoft Teams voice system migration project. This role involves deploying Teams-compatible hardware, providing end-user support, and assisting with technical troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: * Install Microsoft Teams hardware (phones, headsets) * Perform factory resets on phone hardware * Configure Microsoft Teams client settings * Provide on-site support during and after hardware deployment * Document and escalate technical issues as needed * Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer * Assist with logistics: hardware delivery, unboxing, and disposal of packing materials * Maintain clear communication with end users and technical teams * Provide follow-up support and preventive maintenance (e.g., software updates, patches) Project Details: * Migration from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams * On-site work begins as early as 6:00 AM on deployment days (Mondays and Wednesdays) * Fridays are reserved for catch-up tasks and issue resolution * Must be comfortable working with non-technical or potentially frustrated users * Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs required Required Skills: * Experience with Microsoft Teams and phone deployment * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pre-Employment Requirements: Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screenings, including: * Drug test * Driver's license check * Criminal history background check * Periodic CJIS background check (for positions requiring access to Police buildings) * Social Security number verification Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
