Job Description: As a State and Local Tax Director specializing in sales and use tax, you will play a key leadership role in guiding and growing the SALT practice. You will be responsible for delivering high-level technical expertise, strategic planning, and client service excellence across a diverse portfolio. This includes managing complex tax engagements, leading business development efforts, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients on state and local tax issues. You will oversee the execution of services including tax planning, compliance, due diligence, refund studies, audit defense, and tax controversy matters. As a senior leader, you will provide mentorship and guidance to managers and staff, contribute to thought leadership, and represent the firm at industry events. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
