Responsibilities
- Analyzes navigational data to ensure accurate enroute charts and instrument approach procedures are available for aircraft, flight simulators and training devices
- Provides precise and updated navigational data for all flight management computers
- Coordinates with FAA and commercial vendors to deliver all required flight data products
- Authors and maintains Station Information Pages to provide operational flight information for more than 100 scheduled airports.
- Attends weekly meetings to coordinate system-wide gate information
- Researches problem reports and corrects deficiencies with navigational data and Station Information Pages
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of aviation terms, aeronautical charts, instrument approach procedures and airport operations
- Knowledge of applicable Part 121 Flight Operations, Federal Aviation Regulations and Operations Specifications
- Skilled in office automation software and analytical tools
- Skilled in problem-solving, interpersonal skills, planning, and time management
- Skilled in developing effective and comprehensive oral and written presentations across a wide variety of personnel inside and outside the Company
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of personnel and disciplines inside and outside the Company
- Ability to work with others as a part of a team and work under stressful situations.
- Ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
- Corel Draw, Quick Base and Microsoft Office applications
- Aeronautical charts, navigation data and instrument approach procedures
- Aircraft Flight Management Systems operations
- Conducting research and writing technical reports
Licensing/Certification
- Required: Must meet all regulatory criteria to obtain and maintain a Flight Deck Jump Seat access; this position requires successful and continuous enrollment in Rap Back
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive market salary from $ 78,850 per year to $87,600 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
