ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael's is hiring a Brain Health History and Data Analyst to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Brain Health History and Data Analyst, you will provide end-to-end security support services to our client. You will aid in the identification of exposures and exposure mechanisms experienced in military training and operational environments. Our core value of Teamwork will be paramount to this role as you will both lead and work as a contributing member to a team of brain health specialists providing support across the USSOCOM enterprise.

WHO YOU ARE



  • Active Secret Clearance
  • BA/BS degree and equivalent or higher-level medical certificate (e.g. RN license).
  • Prior experience within the DoD /VA systems of care and experience working with or in Special Operations.
  • Outstanding knowledge of collaborative tools (Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and basic office equipment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Overseeing, facilitating, and conducting standardized assessments and structured, cognitive interviews, including but not limited to: Neurobehavioral Symptom Inventory (NSI-MBIAS), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), and OSU-TBI Interview (modified).
  • Solicit for identification of exposures and exposure mechanisms experienced in military training and operational environments.
  • Document the results of exposure questionnaires and outcome measure to enable appropriate referrals by medical personnel for further medical evaluation and treatment.
  • Collect information from service members and their family to identify unknown potential impacts and symptoms of exposure (blast, impact, etc.) experienced over a standard military career.
  • Assist in developing new technologies, methods, protocols, and processes to ensure timely, accurate and usable exposure history data points.
  • Act as USSOCOM representative on activities regarding the CASH and provide collaborative assistance to other personnel (DoD, Civilian and/or contractors) that participate in the CASH program.
  • Train USSOCOM designated personnel on the current practices, procedures and systems required to conduct an effective CASH interview(s).
  • Assist in the development of briefs, talking papers/points for command leadership and external entities to further USSOCOM's efforts in exposure surveillance.
  • Assist or independently gather data for various presentations such as process improvements initiatives, longitudinal statistical tracking, and CASH utilization by components.
  • Travel as directed by the Command Surgeon to ensure USSOCOM representation in related training events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Serve as SOCS-SG Human Performance Data Management System administrator for CASH module development and refinement.
  • Coordinate with Brain Health team and SOCS-SG's office in the development, evaluation, and refining of implementation strategies and approaches and recommend improvements, testing, customizing, and implementing new methods and procedures.
