JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Proposal Development is responsible for directing staff in the execution of analytics and proposal development in support of the Company's Sales and Account Management revenue goals, as well as in support of client business development efforts.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Track and prioritize requests in order to meet established turnaround times and customer requirements. 2.Set and monitor department performance indicators including quality and timeliness of work released. Act on and report significant variances. 3.Work with departments and customers to determine the effectiveness of the team's output, and take steps to improve end user satisfaction as appropriate. 4.Develop and refine processes and tools to ensure analytics and proposals are delivered in an accurate and timely fashion. 5.Manage staff performance and development including workforce planning, coaching, training, career development and compensation. Determine staffing requirements and training needs to ensure attainment of service level goals, quality standards and turnaround times. Set priorities for team according to business needs. 6.Develop and manage the team's budget according to corporate standards. 7.Develop and implement team policy and procedure monitoring for compliance as needed. 8.Lead team in developing continuous innovations in both the processes and the outputs needed to deliver value to customers. Demonstrate ongoing commitment to growth in membership and revenue through sales activities. 9.Participate directly in proposal generation, as needed, to complete complex and/or strategic initiatives; and provide support to Sales & Account Management staff as requested to assist in client up-selling. 10.Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments. 11.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements. 12.Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values. 13.The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. JOB SCOPE: The Director, Proposal Development is a senior member of the management team who interacts independently at all levels of the organization in order to effectively represent their functional unit and participate in/lead initiatives and projects that will contribute to furthering the organization's mission and goals. The incumbent has significant impact on departmental budget planning and strategy development as well as departmental financial and operating business plans. The incumbent directly supports all the initiatives outlined by the Vice President, Marketing and Communications in the development and achievement of the team's annual budgeted goal. This job has the authority to recommend and implement appropriate policies, procedures and controls to assure compliance with applicable contractual provisions, regulations, and legislation. This is a people management job with authority for all HR actions (hiring, firing, discipline, training, etc.). |
